Skills and Drills December 8th and 9th 2017

December 6, 2017 NewslettersSkills and Drills

Classes start at 7pm at Abbotsford Fish and Game Club on the indoor (main clubhouse). Safety brief, first aid brief, range commands followed by the class. Please bring 200-300 rounds of ammo per class. We shoot until 10pm. No Black Badge needed, new shooters (who know how to use their gun) are welcome on Open nights, Advanced nights are for experienced shooters who have been previously vetted by the club. Cost for each night is $20 and all targets are provided.

Please note, unless a special exception is given, Serpa and Serpa style holsters are not permitted at either night. If you only have a Serpa holster and wish to come, please email Rob@activeshooter.ca ahead of time to arrange this, or to arrange to borrow a quality holster instead.

This week advanced night is moved! Advanced night is on Friday the 8th and the turning target will be out again, to push and test your skills on drawing and shooting, and reloading, under the true time pressure of a target that disappears. Bring lots of ammo as this will be an ammo intensive night.
Saturday night is the Open night this week as it follows the IPSC Club workbee held during the day. The turner will be used for the night here as well, to push and test people so that they can see what their abilities are. As with the Advanced class, expect this night to be rather ammo heavy, 300+ rounds are recommended.

Interest in a 22nd and 23rd skills nights please RSVP so we can gauge interest

Also, there has been some interest in doing a movie night at the club and then doing some shooting based on the movie’s scenes (think John Wick). If you’re interested in participating, please let me know.

IPSC Club work bee starts at 10am on the 9th and goes until we are done. Class will follow
